Tool to discover and report on IBM and ISV software products installed on z/OS. Includes features to collect and report on the usage of those products. Discovery and usage data is stored in DB2 databases. Optionally feeds information into Tivoli Asset Management for IT (TAMIT).
Originally released as Tivoli License Compliance Manager by IBM in 2005, based on the previous SoftAudit product. Later included Dorana functionality.
Also released with Tivoli License Contract Compliance Manager as Tivoli License and Contract Compliance Manager. Name changed to Tivoli Asset Discovery in 2009, and IBM Z Software Asset Management in 2020.
