• Analyze data structure to locate patterns and detect abnormalities
• Removing obsolete or unneeded data.
• Identify and remove duplicate data
• Standardize data, such as formatting addresses to conform to postal service standards.

First released by Vality as INTEGRITY. Acquired by Ascential from its acquisition of Vality in 2002. Renamed to QualityStage by Ascential in 2003 from Release 7. Acquired by IBM from its acquisition of Ascential in 2005, and renamed to Websphere QualityStage. Merged into Infosphere Information Server, but later removed. Support ended 2013.
