Allow applications and devices communicating using X.25 to replace communications controllers, NCP and NCP Packet Switching Interface (NPSI) with TCP/IP networks. No change is required to the application, and the existing X.25 device can continue to operate.
Uses the OpenMAX (Open Mainframe Application Access) software architecture, and X.25 over TCP (XOT) protocol. Works with both IBM TCP/IP and CA TCPaccess.
