z/OS based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing (MRP) solution. Features include Bills of Material, Inventory Accounting, Inventory Planning and Forecasting, Purchasing, Receiving, Shipping and Plant Data Collection. Uses IMS databases and CICS as a transaction processor.
Originally released by IBM as the Communications Oriented Production Information and Control Systems (COPICS) in 1988. In 1994, IBM stopped marketing the product, and outsourced support to The Frederick Group (TFG). TFG fully acquired the product in 1999, renaming it to TFG2000.
