Eclipse based application development tool. Develop z/OS, z/VSE and z/VM applications from a full-screen PC based environment. Requires a host-based support task (Remote Systems Explorer, or RSE), and optional z/OS based JES job monitor (JMON).
Application languages and environments supported include Assembler, COBOL, PL/1, Java, C/C++, IMS MFS, CICS BMS and DB2 SQL / Stored Procedures.
First released in 2007 as a replacement for Websphere Developer for System z and Websphere Studio Enterprise Developer. Renamed from RDz to IDz in 2019.
