Tool to automatically improve and enhance batch schedules. Standard Edition (SE) features include:

• Restrict software to specific systems to reduce software licensing fees
• Manage dataset contention
• Bind jobs to a specific z/OS system
• Prestage DFSMShsm and VTS recalls

Automation Edition (AE) extends Standard Edition to offer full batch automation for JES2. Can also manage batch CPU usage to minimize Workload License Charging (WLC) costs.

Originally developed by MVS Solutions as Thruput Manager. Acquired by Compuware from its acquisiton of MVS Solutions in 2017. Acquired by BMC from its acquisition of Compuware in 2020, and renamed to BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut.
