Houston, Texas based multinational software company. Founded in 1980. The name BMC is from the surname of the three founders: Scott Boulette, John Moores, and Dan Cloer.
From the 1990s, has acquired many other computer software firms, the largest being Boole and Babbage in 1998. Today, BMC is one of the largest mainframe software companies worldwide. Total revenues in 2012 were $2.2 billion.
