Support X.25 communications between terminals (data terminal equipment, or DTEs) connected to communication controllers (FEPs) such as 3725 and 3745. Software is installed on mainframe systems, but loaded into the communications controller.
Requires X.25 SNA Network Supervisory Function to manage XI, and collect X.25 traffic and accounting information.
