Originally release in two different versions:

• Artix Mainframe Developer (or Artix Mainframe Web Services Developer) - for users with Orbix Mainframe.
• Artix Mainframe Transformer (or Artix Mainframe Web Services Transformer) - for stand-alone users.

First released by IONA Technologies. Acquired by Progress from its acquisition of IONA in 2008. Acquired by Micro Focus from Progress in 2012. Acquired by OpenText from its acquisition of MicroFocus in 2023, and by Rocket Software from its acquisition of OpenText's Application Modernization and Connectivity (AMC) business in 2024.
